Anybody else thinks açai bowls are really expensive in Singapore? I’m slightly late to the açai hype but I’m Super obsessed with how healthy and refreshing they are - especially on a hot day.
So to fuel my açai cravings, Daniel and I set a date to make our own homemade bowls. Here’s how to make your own açai bowls in 15 mins!
What you'll need for the puree (serves 4):
- Frozen Açai palette (you can get it from NTUC! We bought this - Poppy & Co.)
- 4 bananas
- 3/4 box of blueberries
- 1/2 box of strawberries
- 1 1/2 cups of unsweetened almond milk
What toppings you'll need (serves 4):
- 1/2 box of blueberries
- 1/2 box of strawberries
- Honey
- Coconut flakes
- Granola
- 2 bananas
Instructions
- Put empty bowls in the fridge. This is so that when you start plating, you’ll have extra time to pile the fruits on nicely
- Work on the berries first! — Start by washing all the strawberries, berries. Pick out the berries that you want to use for toppings. Then, cut the strawberries into thin and even slices.
- Get ready your workstation for arranging the bowls!
- Put all the ingredients for the bowl into a blender and blend well
- Finally, pour purée into bowl and start plating!
Have fun y'all! Send me your acai pics if you do make some of your own.
