Amari Phuket

We're back from a 3D2N vacation at Amari Phuket! I'm so glad we picked Amari Phuket because the stay made us feel so rested.

Amari Phuket is a 5-star Beachfront Resort on Patong Beach. It has 380 guest rooms and suites, a luxury Ocean Wing, secluded beaches, breeze spa and snorkelling experiences at the jetty.

The resort is perched on the top of a hill that overlooks the sea. The view of phuket town is spectacular too. We got to the resort from the airport via a Grab, which was, to be honest, pretty pricey (around $36 for a 1 way trip, so it's best to split it among more people) - this was a 45 mins drive.

Wish I could say that it was a "sun's out, bun's out" situation, but to our dismay, it was pouring most of the time due to it being the monsoon period. Nevertheless, Daniel and I still had a fantastic time chilling in the very luxe resort.

There are buggy services from the main hotel lobby to all the swimming pools, panoramic ocean vistas, cocktail hour from 5.30-7.30pm daily, infinity pools and private FIT centres!! Dan and I had a hard time prioritising what we wanted to do.

When we arrived, we were kindly greeted by the ever so friendly staff. We checked into the Ocean deluxe suite, which is situated right beside the clubhouse. The room has probably the best view in the entire resort and is so convenient for an exclusive dining experience.

The spacious room is separated from the living area. It even has a fully equipped kitchen with microwave! It has all the basic amenities and more. There's even a coffee capsule machine.

There's free wi-fi and 2 TVs in the suite. My favourite little touch about the suite is that it comes with an option to pick your favourite types of pillows. I didn't take a photo of the Pillow Menu but you get to choose if you like'em firm and cushy.

The first night when we got in, we were also impressed with the turn-down service! They left us a cookie too - it's the little touches that make a difference. I really wanted to have a breakfast in bed situation but Dan insisted we go for the buffet. I'm not gonna stand in between a man and his food.

We popped by the town too and was transported there with the complimentary shuttle service the hotel provides. It only goes one way to the town but it was a great walk back! Work off that mango sticky rice, friends.

Along the way, if you're feeling peckish, there are little stands that sell crepes too.

Dan and I were impressed by the breakfast spread at Rim Talay. They have all sorts of food - from the usual scrambled eggs station to dim sum to your very own juicing station. If you're early, they even have Thai milk tea. My only regret is not snapping more photos because I was too engrossed in devouring my food.

This was also the place we got hydrated with fruit infused water hahaha.

On the second day, we decided to try the clubhouse for a more exclusive experience. Eating with a view at the clubhouse that overlooked the pool and sea was such an experience. The spread was smaller than Rim Talay but we had both an a la carte and buffet option!

This clubhouse is such a gem. We found a little hidden gym right beside the breakfast and pool area that not many people know about. We were thankful we got the Ocean suite because experiencing the space and peacefulness was such a luxury.
Even during tea breaks, we'd be there. Lol.

My favourite part of the resort would have to be the jetty. It's a stone throw away from the resort (it's still part of it) but it extends all the way out to the water.

The breeze is perfect there, and it's a pretty romantic walk out.

Special thanks to Amari Phuket and ONYX Hospitality for putting together this lovely retreat for Dan and I. We had so much fun and can't wait to be back.
